Cici Yang
Founder & President
Hey! My name is Cici, and I'm a junior at Stanford Online High School currently residing in China. With a long-standing passion across engineering, fashion, creative writing, and the intersection between these fields, I constantly explore how art and tech can come together in powerful ways, especially as a girl who has been underestimated in STEM simply because of my love for fashion. I am fully committed to building spaces where girls can thrive in STEM without giving up their creative interests. At The FTB Lab, I lead website development, curriculum design, community-building, and marketing.

Dawn Zhu
Curriculum Designer & Instructor
Hello! I'm Dawn Zhu, a Stanford Online High School sophomore based in Texas. I enjoy doing dance, finance, and fashion design throughout my everyday life. These passions have taught me how important it is to have spaces where you can learn and grow. I’ve always believed that young girls should feel empowered to explore every part of who they are and thrive, whether that’s in fashion, tech, business, or beyond. We can all be the best versions of ourselves, and it all starts with a small step towards your dreams. At The FTB Lab, I'm part of the curriculum design team and develop and teach our original course series.

At The FTB Lab, I'm part of the curriculum design team and develop and teach our original course series.

Olivia Fan
Curriculum Designer & Instructor
Hi there! I’m Olivia, a passionate IBDP student at Changwai Bilingual School. Whether I’m sketching designs, exploring the outdoors, or diving into STEM projects, I’m always fascinated by how art and science intersect—especially in ways that empower young women to break stereotypes.
Growing up with both a paintbrush and a curiosity for technology, I’ve learned that innovation thrives at the crossroads of disciplines. My goal is to bridge these worlds, proving that you don’t have to choose between design and data, or between music and math. Through projects and collaborations, I hope to inspire others to embrace their multifaceted passions fearlessly. Let’s create spaces where curiosity has no limits!
At The FTB Lab, I'm part of the curriculum design team and develop and teach our original course series.

Pacifica Tan
Blog Writer
Hello everyone! My name is Pacifica Tan, and I’m currently an international student studying the IBDP curriculum at Changwai Bilingual School (CBS). My passion for fashion began in kindergarten when I picked up markers and drew all kinds of whimsical dresses. I’m particularly drawn to the concept of "STEM girls in fashion" because I believe clothing is an external representation of personal identity—and women have every right to express their inner selves through their style.
Beyond fashion, I’m fascinated by business studies, high-tech innovations, and communications. At The FTB Lab, I’ll be writing blogs exploring the intersections of fashion with industry and ethics. My goal is to deepen our understanding of how aspiring fashion enthusiasts—especially young women—can thrive in these fields.
